I read a blog post on Schemescape titled Using the Xteink X4, a minimalist e-reader. I have one, and I will have everyone know that I ordered mine in fall 2025 after reading about it in Liliputing before it apparently became an online “thing.” But that aside, the Schemescape post, in noting that the X4 does not support DRM-protected books, provided a helpful list of resources for DRM-free books. In the area of stores, the post includes StoryBundle, Humble Bundle, the DRM-free sections of Bookshop.org and eBooks.com. This is a good selection, but there is one missing that I think general readers who like DRM-free books will want to note. I recently and incidentally discovered that the Kobo store has a specific DRM-free section. I added the Kobo DRM-free section to my bookmarks.
