I have purchased and played (or read) visual novels on Steam. You can read my reviews of ACE Academy, Kaori After Story, and Return to Shironagasu Island, and LoveChoice for four examples. Setting those four aside, I have also discussed reading the Higurashi and Umineko series, all of which I originally purchased on Steam. The official English releases of those novels are handled by MangaGamer. I must have at some point subscribed to MangaGamer on Steam. While I do not remember when I followed MangaGamer, a recent Steam email reminded me that this must have happened.

Steam wants me to know that MangaGamer has just released Funbag Fantasy 4. Moreover, it is 10% off! Alas, I must confess that I have not played Funbag Fantasy 1-3 (I assume there must be 1-3). While one may scoff and think that the title suggests that the visual novel focuses on two things and neither of those things are plot development, I know better than to judge a game by its title. I am sure that I would be hopelessly lost starting Funbag Fantasy 4 without the benefit of knowing the story of 1-3. Alas, I will have to leave the Funbag Fantasy series reviews to another online writing website.
