Replied to The Linux Kernel Looks To by Michael Larabel (Phoronix)
LINUX KERNEL
Two patches queued into the Linux kernel's build system development tree, kbuild-next, would enable the -fms-extensions compiler argument everywhere for allowing GCC and LLVM/Clang to use the Microsoft C Extensions when compiling the Linux kernel.

I was going through my Miniflux feed items this morning when I saw a Phoronix headline: The Linux Kernel Looks To “Bite The Bullet” In Enabling Microsoft C Extensions. “I’m done with Linux now!” But where to go? At first I was thinking BSD but then I decided that BSD is too normie for me. About to wipe my EndeavourOS from my workstation and go with OpenIndiana.

(Note: I have no opinion on the changes to the Linux kernel, but I do want to give OpenIndiana a spin at some point.)
